Since 1947, when by the disposal of the Council of Ministers of the USSR for purpose of jet arming a Sector of Special Works was established in the Moscow Energy Institute, reformed then into a Special Design Bureau of MEI, our company has always been at the leading position in science and technology. We solved a number of priority governmental tasks, establishing for the first time in the Soviet Union and, in some cases, for the first time in the world, technical means and systems that allowed our country to become a space power, to deploy a large-scale television broadcasting, to study near and deep space and to reinforce defense.

The biggest achievement of special design bureau specialists are in the rocket-space and aviation electronics, including the laser location systems and space communications. Unique scientific and technical complexes OKB MEI, vast experience in the development and operation of the serial and customized products and systems. Highly qualified collective allows OKB MEI to maintain the high reputation of the enterprise not only in Russia but also abroad, and to compete successfully with the world's leading companies in the development of space technologies and communication tools.
